Keith P – Danse Macabre

Since Vex’d put out Degenerate, a brilliant and brooding collection of tunes cutting it dangerously close to Black Metal, the genre has been bountifully untethered from its foundations. Coming up in these foundations is Unit One DJ Keith P, whose interest in Garage/2-step/House sounds has now been re-wired to include new and exciting sounds from the Goth and Industrial genres.

We saw a stalwart introduction to similar territory with Mishka’s release of the Passions mixtape “Music With Out Tears.” This mix, entitled “Danse Macbre,” provides an intriguing follow up to what Passions was introducing, while also sprinkling examples of interesting Dubstep into the mix. If you thought you knew what Trash Menagerie’s mixtape game was like, well, you thought wrong. Tracklist below.
