Jahdan Blakkamoore – Never Gonna Stop
It must be a Dutty week here on Trash Menagerie. Dutty Artz resident advisor Taliesin graced our pages with his “Heavy Sick” mix, and today I bring you a preview of the Dutty Artz project involving Brooklyn singjay Jahdan Blakkamoore.
Announced here earlier, Jahdan will be releasing his debut LP Buzzcock Warrior some time in September via the Dutty Artz label, with distribution through Gold Dust Media. This tune “Never Gonna Stop” features production from Dutty Artz labelheads Matt Shadetek and DJ/Rupture, and challenges popular notions of Ragga bounce with a fresh take on the Dubstep sound, blipping and clapping urgently while patient synths create a meditation on the relationship between Grime and Dancehall. Put fire pon di haters!
