WAR CHILD Presents ARMY OF YOU
Come out tomorrow for a brilliant cause, the War Child charity!! Wednesday 15th July sees the return of War Child’s annual ARMY OF YOU London showcase, bringing together some of the most exciting names across the UK’s thriving new music scene, this year at The Tabernacle, Notting Hill.
Filthy Dukes will be headlining, supported by We Have Band, The Phenomenal Handclap Band and Crystal Fighters. And there will be DJ sets from Mat Horne, StopMakingMe (Kill Em All), Leo Greenslade (Yo Yo/Greenmoney), Firas (Filthy Few). Previous sell out ARMY OF YOU gigs have brought performances from artists including The Noisettes, Friendly Fires, Does It Offend You Yeah? and The Rumble Strips.
Army of You aims to raise awareness and funds for War Child, an international charity working to protect children in the world’s most dangerous war zones. They help to improve the lives of those children that have been affected by conflict. War Child currently works in Iraq, Afghanistan, Uganda and D.R. Congo. This showcase of musical talent is not only a celebration of up and coming British music, but also a platform for the charity to convey its message to a diverse range of music lovers.
