Kingdom Chicago Ticket Giveaway!
Known for bringing in some of the rawest talent over the past 8 years, Lava, will play host to Brooklyn’s own Kingdom, this coming Friday, May 15th, at Bouncement. A show I’ve been looking forward to for quite some time! We at TM have written about Kingdom a couple of times, one of which is an awesome, extended interview with Kingdom himself and the second, a follow up sharing an excellent Kingdom mix that I’m listening to as I write this.
I’m a big fan of Kingdom; he has a knack for taking the cheesy bits of garage and spinning them into something rugged, moody and clever without the slightest reek of cheese. In my opinion, he has been creating the first true signs of what the future of underground EDM has in store for us in the coming years.
With DJ support from Whoa-B, a DJ that I’ve known for many years, who has been quietly awesome and on top of what’s coming, since back when most of us Americans still thought garage was a place to store your car. So, read the interview, download the tracks, listen to the mix and come to the show. I promise you wont be disappointed.
Now, time to get down to brass tacks. We’ve been given two tickets to Kingdoms Chicago show, to give out to one lucky reader and a guest. I cogitated over contest ideas for at least 15 minutes before I lost interest and decided to just give said tickets to whomever emails us 2nd at trashmenagerie AT gmail DOT com with “Kingdom Chicago!!” in the subject.
