Australia’s Miami Horror Make US Debut – Download “Make You Mine”
Most of you will know Miami Horror from their killer remixes for the likes of Pnau, Bloc Party, Stardust, The Presets, Datarock and Midnight Juggernauts which sent the blogosphere into a frenzy during 2008 — quickly attracting a loyal fan base and industry following across the world — propelling the name and the music amongst some of the biggest names in the game right now.

Many might be a little baffled by who or what Miami Horror actually is; a band? DJ? production wizard? Well, the answer is actually all of the above. The brainchild of 22 year old Benjamin Plant who has earned his stance as one of the most talked about artists and definite one to watch for in 2009. After putting himself on the map by DJing various high profile events in his native Melbourne, Australia and remixing and writing tons of killer tunes, he’s now setting his sights Stateside and will be spinning in the US and at SXSW this spring before returning back into the studio to finish the recording of the Miami Horror debut album, set for release later this year.
Hell-bent on discovering new talent and collaborating with artists from all corners of the globe, Ben’s first pick was Texan former front man of Ghosthustler, Alan Palomo aka VEGA, who showcases his lush pop songwriting whilst bringing the unabashed romance back to production and live performance.
“Make You Mine” is clearly influenced by the spacey evocations of Giorgio Moroder, the high school heartbreak of Keith Forsey, whilst ushering in a fresh aesthetic that’ll have you making way for that dance floor in no time. Fans must also eagerly await the Miami Horror live set up which will feature a full 4-piece band, including DJ / Producer Ooh-Ee on the drums and Josh Moriarty (Young & Restless/Peacocks) on guitar and vocals.
