Justin Faust takes Revenge
For lovers of synth pop and Valerie aficionados this might be one of the most exciting releases of 2009: Justin Faust’s Revenge EP is finally out on Bouchmiture Recordings and available at Beatport (buy, buy, buy!).
In 2008, Justin Faust from Munich has delivered tons of great remixes, contributing to the Buffetlibre Rewind project and dropping a remix of Daft Punk’s “Harder Better Faster Stronger” that has made it onto many “top of 2008″-lists. Now he’s off to a great start into 2009 with an EP of four original tracks, which I have been waiting for ever since I first heard Justin’s take on DVAS‘ “Forever”.
Justin Faust has been producing house music since 1992 (where were you…?) but is also passionate about jazz. His music reflects the man’s love for the Moog and – in times of digital production – sounds well grounded and smooth.
As a wonderful treat Justin is giving away three remixes of songs on the EP. Our friend Cyndi Seui, talented Pelifics from Norway and the great Russ Chimes have each contributed a remix. Needless to say they’re all beautiful. Cyndi’s work actually totally makes me want to drive (no killing though). Pelifics makes “Surfer Mystique” the perfect track to wake up on a snowy day (like today in Switzerland). And Russ, well, he just totally turns the track “Revenge” into dancefloor madness.
