Still spilling out into the new year are plenty of well-deserved looks at the world of bass music. Acting as both a recap and a forecast though is an offering by Trouble & Bass Recordings manager The Captain. Busy with a quickly burgeoning catalog of talent T&B Recordings its been a while since The Captain gave us a mix of his own. And of course this roster wouldn’t be complete with out the the tastemakers that run the label. So here I offer you The Captain’s Winter Mix, showing you just how keen the T&B ear is. Watch for a particularly big and scary Dubstep bookend that feels optimistic for that genre’s progression in 2009. With a lot of new material from the T&B camp coming out by the end of the month (Curses!), there will be no shortage of bass-line boundary pushing from this crew. Don’t stray.
