Hotline
Remember the early 80’s disco classic ‘Let the Music Play‘, by Shannon? It brings me back to a time when friends and I used the track for a dance created for our school talent show in 1983, the year it was released. The beat made me want the music to play and dance all night! An essential tune in dance music history, freestyle beats are, once again, popping up in the music of yet another boy/girl duo, Hotline.
In just 3 months time, Nottingham duo Ronika and Laurence Matthew Blake of Hotline, have taken shape with their freestyle, disco sounds and are quickly heating up the air waves. Hotline have garnered some good attention for ‘In the City‘, and their fantastic remix of Hercules and Love Affair’s ‘Blind‘. With all the stars rushing out of the U.K. these days, Hotline just might be the next.

Fucking’ eh that picture looks a lot like the one I posted last night! http://199x.org/2008/12/everyone-knows-me/
Normally a fan of Herc and LA, but this mix just doesn’t do it for me.
Keep doing what you do best, Trash!
