Why Republicans Should Go Down!!!!
If you haven’t been paying much attention to what the Republican party has been saying, it’s okay, neither have they. The video above illustrates just how hypocritical the Republican party is, why they should not be the leaders of the U.S. and why we should all vote for Barack Obama!!!!
For all of those living in the U.S. that are able to vote, but may not be registered yet, your vote matters!!!!! Make sure that you are registered to vote for the election on November 4, 2008! Check the voting dates and deadlines for your particular state and get registered!!!!
You can fill out a voters registration form at Rock the Vote, (available in English and Spanish) print and mail it in to register. OR click the Rock the Vote widget that we’ve provided, located on the top right of the Trash Menagerie site! Rock the Vote is also at Rock the Bells, catch the last show September 6 at The Gorge Amphitheatre, Georgia, WA.
More info at Rock the Vote. TAKE ACTION and SEE CHANGE!!!!
** While music stands as a huge part of our lives, we also care about and will discuss other important issues, such as politics – an issue that ultimately can and does affect music.

Thank you! Watched this episode last night. It is sickening how contradictory the Republicans are. The saddest part of it is the people fall for it. I keep asking myself, “Do they think people are retarded?” Like when McCain announced Palin as his VP pick, I was dumb-founded at how he could make such a purely political move just to reel in the women that would’ve voted for Hillary. What a slap in the face to women. Who would vote for a woman just because she’s a woman?…and much less a woman who will do everything to take away a woman’s right to an abortion. I could rant and rant but I think the Daily Show clip hits it right on the money. Republicans cannot be trusted. They aren’t a party of values, they can’t even be consistent in what they believe.

what does this post have to do with music? it’s really pathetic when bloggers use their unrelated medium to spread their own personal political agenda. noone really gives a flying fuck.. we come here to escape all that bullshit.
btw, i’m not affiliated with ANY political party. so don’t take this as rant from the opposing force.

Clearly, this post has absolutely nothing to do with music and everything to do with the state of our government, an urgent matter which I happen to care a great deal about. The intention of this blog is to discuss whatever we deem important. Our worlds do not revolve strictly around music, we do not limit ourselves. It would be pathetic to stick to one topic rather than discuss important matters, such as our corrupt government. Furthermore, a great amount of our readers happen to be the youth of today, people that can change a nation simply by voting. Time to wake up and expand your horizons.

“…this post has absolutely nothing to do with music and everything to do with the state of our government… – The intention of this blog is to discuss whatever we deem important…”
really? i was under a different impression from my previous visits and your own ‘about’ page;
“Trash Menagerie is a music culture and lifestyle blog…”
“…our corrupt government… – people that can change a nation simply by voting. Time to wake up and expand your horizons.”
ya, i think it is time for you to wake up. i don’t know what’s more pathetic – to be so naive as to believe that government corruption stems purely from, or will be anymore lessened from one political party to the next – or the fact that so many of “today’s youth” actually watch COMEDY CENTRAL to be informed of important current events.
i’m well aware that most people in this industry are completely liberal leftists in the first place. but seriously, i get enough bias from that side just by watching Family Guy, when all i really want is a few hardy laughs for the sake of being funny, not for the sake of propagandizing a political view. same goes for trashmenagerie in relation to music.
why not take your personal agenda to your personal blog? not one that’s community based with a stated purpose that isn’t political.

This video is hilarious!! Its amazing that anyone can have faith in a party that leaves itself so brutally open to constant mockery.. but I guess Yo Republicans just got to STAND UP FO YO SELFZ against the haterz right!?!?! They don’t know whats what, they just tryna put you down, AND THEY WONT KEEP YOU DOWN!!! <33
I guess its just worrying when the rest of the world thinks its insane that America has forgotten what happened last time the republicans had such strong political agenda… But Americans know better than that right!!! YEAH the rest of the world can leave America to decide its own election TANKYEWVRYMUCH
Y’ALL GOT IT LOCKED DOWN!!!
xoxoxox
ps this was a funny video – I don’t mind seeing political posts from music blogs as long as they are interesting / lolable. But if i was sick of political debate which has “nothing to do with music” – i wouldnt’ve clicked on the post, its as simple as that :-)

“Shes a beautiful lady, she hunts and fishes, and she makes Americans feel like anyone can be president!!!”
Woah, this bitch is awesome!
I always vote according to who makes it easier for me to become president, cause dumbing down the government = just makin’ way for my own political career!
Flag Sarah Palin, y’all should meet my neighbour Alice, she’s really hot stuff and catches trout like a MOTHER
