Trevor Loveys is constantly pushing the limits of music with countless remixes, EP’s, labels and a number of projects that fill his world – Speaker Junk with Herve, Dubsided label with Jesse Rose, Switch, Sinden and Herve, and the Machines Don’t Care camp that is Herve, Sinden, Fake Blood, Affie Yusef, Drop The Lime, Detboi, and Toddla T. Mr. Loveys emerges yet again with a remix of ‘City Of Lights‘ by City Reverb.
City Reverb is a new band which features Chris Coco, Nick Cornu, Adam Barry, Lew West and Micky Buccheri on vocals. ‘City of Lights‘ is the 2nd single off their forthcoming 12-track album ‘Lost City Folk’, to be released September 2008. Their blissful sounds mix electronic music with live band elements that are chilled out, folky and atmospheric, which Chris describes the album’s genre as “Robot Soul”. You won’t find any dancefloor stormers on this LP and that’s ok with us, we’re happy to be in this momentary relaxed state. Look out for more remixes of ‘City of Lights‘ from Prins Thomas, Larry Fives, Reverso 68 and Beards of Paradise.
As if Trevor wasn’t doing enough, check his latest label with Affie Yusuf and Chris Belsey, Tragic Magic. Pretty positive everything coming off it will in fact be magic. Cheers to the one and only army providing us with the goods!!
