Christian Shank (aka I Will Shank You For A Penny, also known as the bass heavy A1 Bassline) and Howard P. Sausage (aka Party Sausage) of the UK-based outfit Partyshank are bringing their grime ridden, circuit-bending sounds to the city of Chicago tonight!! < — We just got word from Mr Shank himself that they are not doing the Chicago show due to Visa problems. Bummer! Apparently, they are making the best of it though by sitting by the pool in Vegas. As far as I can tell, all the remaining shows are still on including the massive Electric Daisy Carnival in Cali.
What began as a joke calling their sound “Toy-step” has now caught on and seems the description is sticking. They’ve crafted their own sound that is a mixture of punk, crazy antics, powerpop, jungle, grime, bass and enough bleepy toy noises to make you wana play your own! Marvel at their talents tonight or catch them on a few more U.S. stops (check their MySpace) including L.A. on the So Sweet stage at Electric Daisy Carnival!!!!
