Edmonton Vanglorious: DVAS!!
DVAS are former pale knob-twiddlers who are apparently now tanned dance floor icons, or so says their cheeky promo onesheet. Feel free to ignore the suspiciously pale-looking knob-twiddler-types on the jacket of last year’s album “MACHO 2003-2007″ released on Edmonton’s Pop Echo label. All kidding and shady rumor aside, I’m sensing a distinct Italo + Crydamoure influence but it doesn’t end there. These guys have a have a broad palette and enough wily tricks up their sleeve to keep it fresh and deep.
First up is a glorious 320kbps mp3 of their remix of Edmonton’s Faunts track M4 Part II. This one has a nice pounding driving feel that gradually builds with swirling synths and anthemic guitar loops. Macho!!
